
Instead of running far, far from the house last night, which is what I wanted to do in response to the whiny,

disrespectful and disobedient attitude I'm receiving from Eli, I opted to have a fun "Flock of Seagulls" moment with the kids instead. Eli wasn't too into it at first; gone are the days when he would let me spike or Mohawk his hair, even in the bath.

Once he saw what I was doing to Maddie's last night, he wanted in. Both kids sat very patiently while I did their hair with hairspray and a blow drier. They even sported the do's the rest of the night, including on a trip to Harry's.
